DESCRIPTION:Town Council and advisory boards\n\nApex's town council took seven public hearings on 24 March 2026\, most of them the same cases its planning board had reviewed two weeks earlier. Welch Homestead comes with both an annexation and a rezoning for up to 270 homes on about 83 acres north of Old US 1. Camp Branch Lane is a smaller rezoning off Holland Road\, and a third annexation covers two small parcels at 631 Wimberly Road.\n\nThree of the hearings deal with the Tingen Road railway crossing\, which closes when the Peakway Southwest connector bridge opens: the feasibility study for a pedestrian and cycle tunnel to replace it\, and two transportation plan amendments. The council also appointed the organizing board of directors for the Peak City Land Trust.
