The board staggered its own terms. Emmett Davenport moved to adopt a one-year and a two-year one-time transitional term so that member terms stop expiring together; Larry Piezzo seconded and it carried unanimously. The board also confirmed its remaining 2026 meeting dates, all at 3 p.m. at the Sanford Road store, and discussed the job description, search process and timeline for an assistant finance officer.

Finance officer Faye Ward presented the June and July financials. General manager Scott Cox reported on sales and the board's ranking among North Carolina ABC systems, and on operations at the downtown store and the Northwood Landing store. Nobody spoke at public comment. Four of the five board members attended and the meeting ran 50 minutes.
