Council voted 8-1 to approve the 860 Weaver Dairy Road development, with Council Member Elizabeth Sharp casting the lone vote against both the resolution of reasonableness (R-2) and the ordinance enacting the rezoning (O-6, amended to let developer Ernie Brown shift some town home density to the middle of the site). The 45-acre mixed-use project adds apartments, townhomes and a future commercial area, with 10% of the multifamily units and 15% of the townhomes set aside as affordable. Before the vote, residents Linda Ide, Bruce Runberg, Ursula Wuerth, Brian Grimwood, Mike Gillom, Al Howlett, Lois Howlett, William Thomas, Christine Berndt, Bob Berndt, Hank Elkins, Anna Williamson and Martin Johnson raised concerns about stormwater, traffic, tree protection and the project's density.

Applicant Wendi Ramsden's proposal for 1165 Weaver Dairy Road, a one-story daycare with four to twelve infill townhomes, passed without dissent: council closed the hearing, adopted the resolution (R-3) and enacted the ordinance (O-7).
