What's on this agenda

Chapel Hill's Town Council unanimously enacted its FY 2026-27 budget on June 10, and advanced the Homestead Gardens affordable housing development further by authorizing development contracts and ground leases with CASA for both the Horizons Building and a Supportive Housing Building -- alongside the Community Home Trust and Habitat for Humanity agreements the council had approved for the same development a week earlier. The council also opened and closed a public hearing on contracted services for the Downtown Municipal Services District, and extended board member terms to preserve quorum and continuity: Historic District Commission member Josh Gurlitz through June 30, 2027, and Planning Commission members Jonathan Mitchell and Elizabeth Losos through the same date, specifically to see the LUMO rewrite through to completion.

The council also proclaimed Pride Month and National Immigrant Heritage Month. Every recorded vote passed unanimously.
