The board voted 9-0 to recommend that Hillsborough's Board of Commissioners adopt a Universal Design Resolution setting accessibility standards for future park and public-space planning. Two Girl Scouts from Hillsborough Troop 1226 presented the resolution as their Silver Award project, arguing that current park policies do not do enough for people with mobility issues, strollers, or age-related mobility loss. The board also voted 9-0 to approve the 2026 update to the Kings Highway Park master plan, with minor edits to follow from staff and the town's communications division.
