The board approved its agenda and the minutes of the Jan. 20 meeting, both 7-0. Reviewing the draft master plan for Kings Highway Park, an 18-acre natural area at 1001 Ben Johnston Road, the board set six priorities for the final draft: safety features and a marked recreation area on Lake Ben Johnston, stable surfacing on the walking path around the detention basin, removal of dead trees, renaming the park Kings Highway Natural Area, an interpretive sign about the park's history, and reinstalling the kayak launch. Staff will fold the priorities into photos and a final draft for the board. No formal action was taken.

Commissioner Robb English reported on the town budget and staff capacity limits for fiscal 2027, and Hooper Schultz said the Planning Board is discussing development plans for Corbinton Commons. Board members gave their monthly steward reports on seven town parks, and Public Space and Sustainability Manager Stephanie Trueblood reported recent repairs, including removal of a downed tree on the Riverwalk near the Eno River Brewery. The board adjourned at 8:10 p.m., 7-0.
