Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
Orange County's agricultural preservation board decided on November 19 that its farmland preservation plan was ready to go to the county commissioners. A November 12 editing session worked through every change requested by legal staff, planning and others. Members said careful rewording had gotten the document to the point where it says what they need it to say.
How the votes went
Three motions, all carried: approving the September 17 meeting summary (Weitzel/Compton), approving the 2026 meeting calendar (Hooten/Weitzel), and adjourning (Compton/Sykes). Thirteen of fifteen members were present.
