Regular meeting Tax rate and revaluationStormwater and flooding

Six residential appeals and a consent agenda. Four owners are attending in the opening forty-five minutes; the last two, late in the afternoon, are not.

Meeting recap

What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes

This is the ordinary shape of the board's work: individual homeowners contesting what the county says their houses are worth after the revaluation, four of them turning up in person. The properties are scattered across the county rather than concentrated in one neighbourhood, and four different appraisers are assigned, which means the cases have nothing in common but the calendar.

The meeting closes with a consent agenda requiring a motion - the board's route for disposing of matters that need no hearing.

How the votes went

All eight motions passed 3-0: three assessments reduced, two held, the consent agenda approved as amended, and one appeal pulled from consent and rescheduled for a full hearing.
