What's on this agenda

Meeting recap

What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes

A consultant from Toole Design walked the committee through the draft Cary Bike Plan. Members asked about e-bike use on trails, and staff said a prior study concluded education was the main tool, with the police department also handling some enforcement. Members also asked about safety design for cyclists on new streets and whether more tunnels could be made accessible under busy roads as they're built. No members of the public spoke during the public comment period. The committee also received a report from its liaison to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Board and adjourned at 7:01 p.m., with its next meeting set for November 18.
