What's on this agenda
Two rezonings and the town's transit prioritisation study. One member is recused from both hearings, so the board sits at six for them and seven for the rest.
Summarized from the published agenda. Read the agenda itself before acting on it.
Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
Everything passed unanimously and the board finished in an hour.
The larger rezoning was Jessie Drive Industrial: about 51.82 acres from residential agricultural to a mix of light industrial and medium density residential, both conditional. A board member said the parties had worked well together and that the added buffers and extra resource conservation area were what won his support. The smaller was Veridea Expansion III, about 1.52 acres from residential agricultural to sustainable development conditional zoning. One member was recused from both by vote before the hearings opened and brought back by vote afterwards.
The board also recommended the Apex Transit Prioritization Study and its appendices. A member asked a question worth recording about survey methodology: whether the people answering were the ones actually using transit or describing what they would like to exist.
How the votes went
Six unanimous votes. The recusal, both rezonings, the transit study, bringing the recused member back, and adjournment. Two members were absent throughout, so the hearings carried 6-0 and the rest 7-0.
From the published minutes.
Who spoke
