The Planning Board takes public comment on two plan updates ahead of a December 21 public hearing on each. The first is an update to the Northeast Community Plan, which guides growth in Wake Forest's historically African American neighborhood northeast of downtown. The rewrite followed four advisory committee meetings, 22 stakeholder interviews, a survey mailed to every address and property owner in the area with 109 responses, two virtual public workshops, and a September event at the DuBois Campus with more than 75 participants.
