What's on this agenda

The board considers a major amendment to the Park West Village mixed-use planned development, 106.83 acres west of Chapel Hill Road and NW Cary Parkway. The amendment would cut required greenspace from 35 percent to 30.72 percent in exchange for stormwater detention built for a 100-year storm. It would also set updated sign and building-design standards for the project, which Casto Southeast Realty Services first won approval for in 2008. The board's recommendation goes to the Town Council, which holds a public hearing January 9.

That hearing did not happen on the ninth. Snow closed the council's 9 January meeting, and both cases on this agenda moved: the Spark master sign plan, a roughly 37-acre project at 4877 McCrimmon Parkway proposed by Trinity Capital Advisors, had its council hearing on 23 January and a vote on 13 February. The Park West amendment was still before the council the following August. The board also approves the minutes of its November 9 meeting, where the Park West amendment first came up for public comment.
