What's on this agenda
The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau board met at the state high school athletic association's headquarters on 15 January 2025. Staff presented twenty years of tourism growth in the county, and the board began considering whether to redesign its logo.

Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
The logo, last updated in 2011, would not be redesigned now: staff said the bureau will bid for a new advertising agency in 2026 and would rather wait for that. Members took away design options to discuss at a later meeting, with no decision made.
The growth presentation covered rising hotel inventory and occupancy over two decades. Asked how the bureau generates leads, staff pointed to the CVENT platform and to corporate and association business.
Members reported the Drakeford Center library ribbon cutting set for 21 February, about $30,000 netted in end-of-year arts fundraising, and Hillsborough's seafood and antique festivals.
How the votes went
The November minutes were approved unanimously, and the meeting adjourned. No decision was taken on the logo.
