Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
The executive committee reported a member's resignation effective immediately and asked that applications be pulled so the seats can be filled quickly, saying the commission lacks a quorum without them. The secretary's post is also open. The annual report is due January 17.
The policies and procedures subcommittee voted to keep meeting on the fourth Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and discussed adopting Robert's Rules to formalize how meetings run. Outreach and engagement lost its chair with the resignation, and the remaining members agreed to share the duties. The community events subcommittee confirmed $500 for a 2025 community dinner, discussed moving the Pauli Murray awards to April or June to leave time for applications, and raised whether a community conversation should be held after the presidential inauguration. Five of six members attended.
How the votes went
