What's on this agenda
Cary's Historic Preservation Month committee met virtually for twenty minutes on April 29 to finish preparations for May. The town's communications team had the website live with a History Hunt online, a proclamation set to be read at a council meeting, updated text at the 311 line, a social media video, a news release due May 1, and a Cary Matters video carrying a message from the mayor and a council member.

Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
A twenty-minute virtual check-in on Historic Preservation Month in May. Marshall Brown reported the website live with the History Hunt online, a proclamation due to be read at a town council meeting, updated text for 311 staff, a social media video, a news release set for May 1, and a Cary Matters video carrying a message from the mayor and Councilwoman Craig.
Volunteer sign-ups for Herb Fest stood at two for the first shift and one for the second. Michele Counter said volunteers are hard to find because the date suits few people and clashes with other May events, and that she would contact Herb Fest for an update. There was no news on attending the FALC event at the Waldo House on May 29; Rachel Palisin said she could volunteer if it happens. Phil Myers will send reminders of the month's dates with next week's agenda. Counter will draft this year's report and circulate it by email, so no further meeting is needed.
