Vice Chair Colin Richardson led the meeting; Chair Katherin Loflin, Victoria Ellis-Ford and Michele Counter were absent. Commissioners amended the agenda to push the Historic Preservation Month committee report to next month. Assistant Planning Director Katie Drye said no Certificates of Appropriateness are pending and named the Ivey-Ellington House as a likely candidate for Cary's next local landmark designation. She said the state's Certified Local Government grant, expected in July or August, could anchor a community outreach event in September.

Senior planners Marshall Brown and Kaley Huston reviewed Historic Preservation Month engagement metrics and led a discussion on telling the Nancy Jones House's story, including a possible 3-D model. Brown said the house itself remains well maintained with no reported issues, and board clerk Phil Myers announced he is leaving the town after three years working with the commission.
