Nobody spoke at public comment. The council liaison used her time on the last stretch of budget season and pointed members to the second budget public hearing two days later. A member raised the Searstone planned development amendment, case 24-REZ-02, alongside their own experience of a continuing care retirement community — the same development whose residents' association sent a speaker to the council on 25 June. Staff reported that the Beyond the South Wake Landfill study would hold an open house on 23 June at the Downtown Cary Park Academy Pavilion. Five of seven members attended, all virtually.
