Chatham County's Affordable Housing Advisory Committee brought in housing staff from Cary, Chapel Hill and Wake County on 4 June to describe how they handle housing supply, and what of it Chatham could use. The county's housing director then walked the committee through what the 2027 budget recommends for housing.

The committee also reviewed the Housing Trust Fund report and its own 2025 annual report for adoption, and heard a staff recommendation to cancel the housing retreat set for 28 and 29 September. The committee needs six voting members present to do business.
