What's on this agenda
Wake County's Affordable Housing Committee meets Monday afternoon at the Justice Center for four homelessness and housing reports. Homeless and Prevention Services presents an impact report on Bridge to Home, the county's program for people in shelter, measured against the years before it began and with interviews by a Duke occupational therapy program. The Continuum of Care reports on Wake at Home, its encampment effort, which has rehoused more than 30 people from its first site. The Continuum also covers about $14.8 million in pending federal and state homelessness grants and plans for about 280 cold-weather shelter beds this winter.
The fourth report is on manufactured housing, which makes up 2.7% of the county's homes. Staff cover how the 12 municipalities zone it and what July's federal ROAD to Housing Act, which drops the permanent-chassis requirement, may change. No votes are scheduled beyond the June minutes.
