Facilities staff, joined by the stadium's architect and the Zebulon Devil Dogz general manager, updated the board on Nomaco Park, the former Five County Stadium where the minor league team relocated this season. Beyond the field and concession work Capitol Broadcasting Company has already completed, the county and Town of Zebulon have $8.6 million budgeted for an entry plaza, clubhouse, sky lounge and other improvements, with design due this summer and construction on phased projects starting late this fall.

Deputy County Manager Ashley Jacobs then updated commissioners on two finalist sites for a new Athens Drive Library: the 2.6-acre Well Fed Garden site near the current library, now under a signed letter of intent at $1.586 million, and a 12-acre surplus Wake County school system property on Tryon Road in Cary. Commissioners weighed Well Fed Garden's walkability against Tryon Road's room to expand and questioned bus access to each. In an informal show of preference, five commissioners favored Well Fed Garden and two favored Tryon Road, though no vote was taken. Staff will bring a recommendation to the board's June 15, 2026 regular meeting.
