The story so far
Knightdale is asking its voters for $55 million. The Knightdale Town Council introduced a parks and recreation bond order on 20 May and set the public hearing for 17 June. That night it also adopted an annexation agreement with Raleigh running to 2046.
Residential growth is the town's steady business. Three planned unit developments, 522 units on Old Faison Road, Buffalo Road and Pool Road, were set for final votes on 17 September 2025. One, ZMA-4-23 Terravita, came back as old business in November. Cases take five or six months, passing a joint public hearing and a Land Use Review Board recommendation.

Annexation and development agreement hearings come next. Lyndon Oaks and the Haven at Griffith Meadows were on the August 2025 agenda. Clifton Road and the 612-unit Brio Village followed in December, Hopkins Farm in March. Faison Reserve and Hopkins Farm reached their development agreements on 16 September.
