All three public hearings drew no speakers and passed 7-0: the Green Level West Road renaming, effective January 30, 2026, will cost the six affected property owners nothing, with the town of Cary paying each $300 toward the change and coordinating with elections officials; the Dover Farm Road right-of-way closure was approved following a family's petition for abandonment; and the Coriolis Pharma business development grant agreement was approved, with Chair Evans noting she had attended the company's announcement event. The board also approved, 7-0, transferring county property to WakeTech and WakeMed for the Wake III Health & Education District, which commissioners said will include a simulation hospital and expand educational access in District 5. The full consent agenda, including the opioid-settlement resolution, the 7.53-acre Apex library land purchase, and FY2026 budget corrections, passed as a block, 7-0. During public comment, a Morrisville council member spoke about Minor League Cricket's return to the town, and a resident raised concerns about a Lake Crabtree Park rezoning. The board went into closed session to discuss economic-development incentives and took no action there.
