The board adopted a credit card use policy, presented by general manager Scott Cox, on a motion by C.P. Stewart seconded by Jonathan Franklin. It was the only policy adopted. Members also discussed board terms, future plans and a remote meeting policy without settling any of them.

The board went through the applicants for an upcoming vacant seat and the term limit that attaches to it, and discussed the results of the recent state ABC audit. Finance officer Faye Ward reported the stores' finances and expenses. Cox reported sales, the system's ranking in North Carolina, and operations at the downtown store and the Northwood Landing store. The board discussed its 2026 meeting dates: March 19, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, September 15, October 20, November 17 and December 15.

How the votes went

Every recorded vote was unanimous, with all five members present. The credit card use policy was adopted on a motion by C.P. Stewart, seconded by Jonathan Franklin. The January 20 minutes were approved, subject to changes, on a motion by Franklin seconded by Emmett Davenport. Larry Piezzo moved to adjourn, seconded by Stewart.
