The board voted 6-0 to deny the Section 6.3 village park land. Staff described a 40-acre site with about 24 usable acres, room for up to four soccer fields, a pump station and a stormwater control pond, arriving with grass only and no prepared parking. Members raised the volume of dirt being moved, the topographical effect, steep slopes, and drainage liability from runoff they said already damages roads and culverts nearby. They also asked about field lighting, fencing around the stormwater pond, safety in the park, and whether the town should take a fee in lieu instead. The commissioners approved the dedication 5-0 on 8 June.

Project updates covered the RAFI building, quotes for surveillance systems at parks and facilities, fencing and a shade structure at Knight Farm Park, bathroom options at Rock Ridge, phased cost estimates for Robeson Walk, and the Town Lake master plan work on flooding, walking trails and parking. Members asked for an interactive park map on the town website and suggested 2026-27 budget items including downtown market lighting, rain garden improvements and more murals or sculptures in parks.
