Everything passed 7-0. Three properties on Hillsboro Street get facade grants: awnings at numbers 80 and 84, and front and back work at number 52 — the last with a recommendation that the second-floor windows be as historically accurate as possible.

The committee also recommended buying two sculptures, which it recorded as the Moth Bench and one Totem Pole. The full downtown advisory board approved the purchase six days later and called the second one a Peace Pole; the committee then spent its 15 July meeting deciding where both would go. The name differs between the two sets of minutes and neither corrects the other, so both are reported here as written.
