Five committee members, the Downtown Advisory Board chair, the town manager, the downtown development director and Commissioner Tiana Thurber walked downtown Pittsboro after dark for an hour and a half, starting at 53 Pittsboro Street at 8:20 p.m. They looked at beautification and maintenance needs, the pedestrian experience, landscaping, lighting, where public art might go, connectivity and storefront appearance. No action was taken and no votes were recorded.
