The committee took no action items. Members reviewed and discussed the town's draft FY27 downtown work plan and timeline, and approved the 15 April minutes on a 6-0 vote with all six members present.

In the comment period, members set a Design Committee "Walk About Nothing" for 4 June to observe how downtown looks and functions after dark; staff said a special meeting notice would follow. Chevon Moore reported on progress toward a possible Pittsboro Historic Preservation Commission. Chair Mary Kate Bedell said the second annual Sculpture Celebration will be held at The Plant, 220 Lorax Lane, 18-19 September. Irena Cepulyte asked members to watch for gallery space for the Chatham Artists Guild.
