What's on this agenda
The commission recommended that Council approve a height increase for the Old Chapel Hill Road Apartments, a multifamily project at 11 White Oak Drive. Council approved the project's conditional zoning last year with a maximum building height of 62 feet; the developer, ZOM Living, says that height was measured incorrectly and is asking for 69.5 feet instead, with no other change to the approved project. Staff recommended approval, and the commission agreed.
The commission also had a resident's application for a vacant seat on the board in front of it and chose to take up the appointment at a later meeting rather than act on it now.
Summarized from the published agenda. Read the agenda itself before acting on it.
How the votes went
Commissioners voted to recommend Council approve Resolution A and Ordinance A raising the approved height cap for the Old Chapel Hill Road Apartments from 62 to 69.5 feet (moved by Geoff Green, seconded by Mike Zibaie; passed). Action on a resident's application for a commission seat was deferred to a later meeting.
