This group exists because of the 2025 revaluation. Through that year commissioners and residents raised the same complaint repeatedly - that residential values rose far more than commercial ones, that apartment blocks were assessed below recent sale prices while single-family homes jumped, and that the county's answer to individual unfairness was an appeal process rather than a systematic fix. One commissioner argued in June 2025 that getting valuations right matters more than lowering the tax rate.
