The board appointed Nick Fair as vice chair on a motion from Chair Maria Devore. Staff previewed the draft 2026 Public Art Advisory Board work plan, which adds new projects beyond the 2025 plan; the board will review it further and plans to vote at the November meeting. Members also heard about volunteer opportunities working with GLOW artist Bryant Holsenbeck on November 2 and 15, and about upcoming lantern-making workshops.

Staff reported the Higgins Greenway Phase III public art installation is nearing completion, and that steel work is underway on the bridge art for the NW Cary Parkway/Black Creek Greenway project, expected to finish by year's end. The council liaison and cultural arts manager gave updates on early voting, a children's business fair, and several upcoming cultural festivals. No members of the public spoke.
