Bush told the board a budget town hall and presentations to other town boards are planned for the coming budget cycle, then asked members how Cary could make the budget easier to follow. Members proposed adding department-level project updates and a citizen-friendly summary to the Budget-in-Brief, making the budget a prominent link on the town's website with a timeline of the process, and building an open data portal. A Teen Council representative said an interactive tool would work better than a video.

Under council liaison updates, Bush said the town council held a work session and meeting that week and that the Triangle Bikeway has three pop-up events coming. On the watch list, Chief Innovation Officer Nicole Coughlin said Cary will staff a booth and Bush will give a keynote at the Smart Cities Connect conference in March. No one signed up for public comment, and the board adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
