What's on this agenda
Wake Forest's board takes up two annexation petitions covering about 15 acres. Site Investments, LLC asks to bring 7.093 acres tied to the Ligon Park Subdivision into town limits, at 0, 9602, 9604 and 9606 Ligon Mill Road. Optimal Equity Group, LLC petitions for 8.197 acres at 1109 and 1129 Forestville Road, for the Forestville Road Townhomes project. Both petitions, on the consent agenda, would set public hearings if the board accepts them.
An ordinance would bar carrying firearms and other deadly weapons in town buildings and on town property, with signage required. The consent agenda also carries a second FY2022-2023 budget amendment and a waiver for alcohol sales at six 2023 Friday Night on White dates. Separately, the board takes up an update to the 2023-2028 Capital Improvements Plan, which would feed into the town's next operating budget.
