Wake Forest's Planning Board took public comment on two long-running planning documents: a rewrite touching every chapter of the town's Unified Development Ordinance, and a new Downtown Plan replacing the 2017 Renaissance Plan. Consultant Houseal Lavigne has led the UDO rewrite since 2022, covering zoning districts, building design, tree protection, signage and subdivision standards, after seven work sessions with the Planning Board and Board of Commissioners.
