The board adopted its agenda as amended and accepted minutes from its February 2 meeting, both by unanimous vote, at its March 2 session. Angie Hougan, the Athletic Committee chair, told the board she had concerns about a lack of communication over the committee's dissolution, a shift in programming from community recreation toward private organizations, and the absence of a plan going forward; members clarified that the Athletic Committee and the Athletic Work Group are separate groups and said committee members have been offered temporary seats on other boards. Nobody signed up for public comment.
Staff and members discussed the draft cricket request for proposals, including its timeline and scope; some members said the draft was too vague and needed more direction, and one raised concern about asking for design work outside a request-for-qualifications process. A budget exercise for fiscal 2027 used quadratic voting to gauge members' spending priorities. Discussion of the board's liaison roles was pushed to the next meeting, though two members volunteered for the Greenway Committee and senior club president roles.
