Chief Innovation Officer Nicole Coughlin and Russ Overton presented the town's preliminary FY 2027 budget outlook. Board members asked whether the proposal is built from the bottom up, discussed how staff communicate the property tax rate to residents, and raised the town's attrition rate among funded positions. Members also asked how the board's feedback on the budget would be passed along and discussed ways to help residents understand their property tax bills.
