Staff led the board on a tour of North Cary Park and the Black Creek Greenway, after background on the greenway's phases and a piece of public art by Vicki Scuri. The Greenway Committee later noted that the corridor's next phase has no detour planned.

The board adopted its agenda and its April 6 minutes without dissent and made no recommendation to Town Council at this meeting. No members of the public spoke. Council liaison Sarika Bansal told the board that e-bikes have become a nuisance on the town's greenways and that Council is working on a budget that includes funding for affordable housing. Staff reported the parks department was not selected for the Gold Medal award this year but called the application process useful, with feedback due in October. Two teen representatives on the board updated members on the Cary Teen Council, including upcoming Lead Teen applications.
