What's on this agenda
Chatham County's Planning Board took two subdivisions, a heavy industrial rezoning and the delay of the county's new development ordinance on 5 May. Hickory Mountain Reserve is 48 lots on 164.20 acres off Pleasant Hill Church Road; Webster Farm is 132 lots on 182.98 acres off Buckner Clark Road. Both had been before the board in April.
EC PROPCO asked again to rezone 292.288 acres off Christian Chapel Church Road from residential to heavy industrial. Toll Southeast asked to move 6.5 acres at 955 Earnest Jones Road from very low density to low density on the Chatham-Cary joint land use plan. The planning department asked to push the unified development ordinance's effective date from 1 June 2026 to 1 June 2027, a consequence of Senate Bill 382.
