The board voted 5-0 to adopt the resolution revising the urban service boundary, reducing the area where the town commits to extend water and sewer service, after Assistant Town Manager Matt Efird, Planning and Economic Development Manager Shannan Campbell and Engineering Services Manager Bryant Green walked through the change. It also heard the Strategic Plan year-end report from Administrative Services Director Jen Della Valle and backed extending the current three-year plan through FY27, pushing back work on its successor because Tropical Storm Chantal had taken up staff time. Commissioners added a resolution supporting the Fourth Amendment to the meeting's agenda and adopted it 5-0 after Mayor Mark Bell read it into the record.

The consent agenda, covering the Historic District Commission reappointment of Gary Miller, three special event permits, the League of Municipalities civility certification and the homelessness partnership MOU update, passed as a block, 5-0. After returning from closed session on the town manager's evaluation, the board voted 5-0 to give Town Manager Eric Peterson a 4.5% merit increase, raising his salary to $225,000 effective retroactive to July 1, 2025.
