What's on this agenda
The board holds a public hearing on $75 million in bond orders headed to a referendum. The package covers $23.72 million for roads, $24.43 million for parks and recreation, $14.35 million for greenways and $12.5 million for parking. Two land-use hearings follow. One considers a 71.46-acre rezoning of the Wake Union tract, filed by Kimley-Horn, from Conditional Use Highway Business to two mixed-use conditional districts. The other considers a 29-acre annexation for Holding Village Phase 10, petitioned by RP HV Lakeside LLC and Tri Point Homes Holdings Inc. A fourth hearing covers a Unified Development Ordinance text amendment to Chapters 1 and 8.
Under Planning Items, the board takes final votes on the annexation, the rezoning and the text amendment. A consent item would lower the speed limit on part of Ligon Mill Road. A resolution would appoint three residents to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Board. Four other resolutions recognize outgoing volunteers and staff. Two honor organizers of the July 3-4 Independence Day events, one marks a 95th birthday and one recognizes a retiring employee.
