    CAMPO and town planning staff present the Wake Bus Rapid Transit Rapid Bus Extension study's recommended Locally Preferred Alternative for the western extension: zero-emission buses on an alignment along NC 54 and Evans Road, chosen over a Chapel Hill Road/NC 54 alternative and a Davis Drive alternative for its redevelopment potential and because it avoids constrained NCRR right-of-way segments. The recommendation goes next to the CAMPO Executive Board and Wake Transit for concurrence, with opening beyond 2035.
