Mary McKay of Cary Housing walked the board through the town's Housing Explorer Tool, an online search tool for affordable housing. Members recommended adding usage metrics, translation, filters for ADA-accessible and first-floor units, photos of units, a link to 311 services and a launch tutorial, and Council Member Lori Bush described how the town's Cary Matters initiative supports affordable housing.

Chair Jess MacDonald then led a discussion on future presenters for the board's 2026 work plan, identifying ADA accessibility, the town's boards-and-commissions website and translation, GoCary transit planning, and the Cary Police Department's training and community-engagement practices as topics to bring back. Under old business, MacDonald opened a preliminary discussion on the board's planned community conversation event and thanked members for ideas submitted in advance; a draft framework and partner list will come to a future meeting.
