Heather Whelehan briefed the board on the Cary Explore Portal, a Cary Housing & Community Partnership project cataloging housing options in town. Members learned the portal will not list rental costs and discussed which property types it will feature, how it will distinguish subsidized housing from rezoning cases, and its planned annual review of listed housing. Whelehan said an active development map is not currently planned. Members supported adding highlighted bus routes, parks and partner organizations to the site, and the board discussed Area Median Income and Fair Market Rent benchmarks and the compliance process for developers in affordable housing programs.

Corrie Bondar walked the board through proposed enhancements to the utility billing customer portal. Members asked about the requirement for residents to opt in to portal notifications, the baseline used for comparing average utility usage, and whether the portal would support 311 service; Bondar said it is expected to add structure, support and automation to 311 operations. The board approved its March 2 minutes without objection and set its next meeting for May 4.
