Twelve groups applied for this year's Community Climate Action Grants, with $294,355 available, Sustainability Program Manager Amy Eckberg told the commission. She walked members through the scoring process and timeline. The draft State of the Environment report came back from county staff on 10 September, and members were to review and edit it over the next month. Members also traded ideas for promoting the RIPPLE Awards, open from 1 December to 1 February, and met in subcommittees to plan the rest of 2026.

The agenda listed two earlier applicants for a membership vote. The minutes record one motion, recommending a single applicant to the Board of County Commissioners, which carried 9-0 with one abstention. Five applicants attended.
