Durham's council held a public hearing Thursday on an incentive agreement with AbbVie worth up to $9,312,721, the only hearing on the agenda. The largest contract was elsewhere: a $32.4 million design-build award to CDM Constructors for the Durham water treatment plant under the Jordan Lake Water Supply Program, with a contingency taking the ceiling to $35.6 million. Two more lift station contracts went to Carolina Civilworks for $2.3 million and $4.3 million.

The council also voted on a resolution adopting the Durham Cultural Roadmap, presented at the September 10 work session, and on filling seats on the Durham Housing Authority board and the Workers' Rights Commission.
