The work will take place at the Interstate 40 and Airport Boulevard interchange and within the Aerial Center Executive Park. This project will complete the renewal of the Brier Creek Interceptor Sewer using a trenchless rehabilitation method known as cured-in-place pipe lining. This approach is expected to extend the service life of this crit ical wastewater infrastructure by approximately 50 years and is significantly less disruptive than dig-and-replace construction methods…

Consent agenda Broadband and technologySpeaker : Robert Hirt, Utilities Executive Summary: Cary licenses space on certain Cary-owned facilities to cellular service providers, allowing them to collocate equipment on these sites to deliver improved telecommunications service to residents and the overall community. Providing collocation opportunities at existing facilities reduces the need to construct new tower structures and generates revenue for Cary. Verizon Wireless is one such provider and desires to enter into a new agreement with Cary to maintain coverage and install new antennas with their respective equipment on the Maynard Road water tank site. Staff issued a request for proposals (RFP) to secure the best financing terms for 15 vehicles. Recommendation : That Council adopts the attached resolution authorizing the execution and delivery of installment financing and security agreements and related documents to finance the purchase of the vehicles as described in this staff report, not to exceed $5,250,000.

The most recent contract term expired, and staff issued a request for proposals for audit services for the next three fiscal years, beginning with the fiscal year 2026 audit. Recommendation : That Council appoints Cherry Bekaert LLP as Cary’s auditor for fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028, with an option to renew for up to an additional two years.
