What's on this agenda

Chatham County's commissioners met with the Pittsboro town board on 28 October 2024. The reappraisal was the first item, with the tax administrator and the county's consultant walking both boards through equalization, valuation and appeals ahead of the 2025 revaluation.

Five county commissioners attended, and both mayors called their own boards to order at 6:01. Every item was received and filed; the only vote was to adjourn, 5-0.

The redevelopment initiative pairs town and county parcels in Pittsboro for mixed-use development, and the assistant county manager set out the next steps. On utilities, the county manager and the assistant town manager reported on both the town's and the county's merger projects with TriRiver. The county's own merger went to Sanford a week later.
