The chair said the retreat's main outcome should be a recommended direction for a county climate action plan. Attendance was put at 15 to 30 people including commissioners, staff and guest speakers, likely at the Agriculture Center, with affordable housing and environmental justice among the topics. The committee weighed recording the retreat with transcription tools, noting such tools struggle to attribute statements.

A member reported on Pittsboro's own climate action plan framework, where land use had just been added to the green space topic area. Two members agreed to merge an evaluation framework with a narrative on four climate priorities for the retreat participants.

The environmental quality director was working on a press release for the energy efficiency block grant award and sending the CPACE program documents to the county's lawyers.
