The Tree Board approved its agenda and its Feb. 18 minutes, both 7-0, then turned to standing business. Chair Tim Logue reported that 23 people turned out to pull Mahonia at the Visitors Center during Creek Week, and that the board also tabled at Eno Brewing, joined the Buzz About Pollinators event at Gold Park, and ran an invasive-species workday. Staff will staff the board's table at the April 18 Earth Day Celebration at RambleRill Farm, and Logue will look into a future film screening and report back.

On updates, Logue said the invasive-removal team is cutting bamboo and using the stakes to support tree fencing, and the board heard that the Garden Club's plant sale is set for April 25. Staff reported that downtown crape myrtle bark-scale treatment is scheduled, an interpretive sign is in design, and ambrosia beetles have turned up on fig trees in west Hillsborough; the board agreed to watch for the beetle over the next few months. No Unified Development Ordinance business came up.
