The Tree Board met Feb. 18 with Chair Tim Logue, Vice Chair Thomas Darling, Matt Archibald, Mixon Nelson, Linda Paynter and Gregory Yavelak present; Brian Mayell was absent. The board approved the agenda and adopted its Jan. 17 minutes, both 6-0. For Bee City initiatives, members added a tree identification walk and a pruning workshop to the year's activities, with dates still to be set, and agreed to reuse last year's No Mow March press release and social media posts with a new quote from Archibald.

For Creek Week, Logue said the invasive species removal team would target mahonia near the Visitors Center and along Stillhouse Creek, and the board will staff an outreach table March 22 at the Eno River Brewery's closing celebration, with Logue and Darling volunteering. The board also heard that the removal team is planting bare-root seedlings near the Calvin Street greenway bridge, that the Garden Club's plant sale is set for April 25, and that Logue will draft text for a planned sign on invasive removal and riparian restoration near the creek. None of the discussion or update items came to a vote.

Two motions, both unanimous: approval of the agenda, 6-0, and adoption of the Jan. 17 minutes, 6-0. Brian Mayell was absent for both. No dissents and no other votes.
