Orange County's transit tax district staff working group spent its February 18 meeting on two unresolved questions rather than voting on either. GoTriangle presented a regional technology plan to unify fare payment and transit signal priority across the region, estimated at $3 million to $4.3 million for Orange County over five years, but the group took no action pending a multi-year vision plan and funding requests.

On Orange Transit's FY27 budget, staff proposed keeping this year's projects and funding levels with only a 2.5% cost adjustment. A straw poll on releasing that status-quo option for public comment found mixed support, and the group scheduled a formal vote for its March meeting, with an April special meeting to follow if that vote fails. The group approved its January 21 and February 6 minutes, both 11-0. No public comment was received.
